When I enrolled at Oberlin in 1968, I went down to the local hardware store downtown (there was no bike shop then) and bought a Schwinn Continental…which cost $118…an arm and a leg back then! Rode that thing all four years, putting almost 5200 miles on it! Keep up the GREAT work, guys!

Is there an e-mailing list that I can get on?

Comment on sylvia bingham memorial ride: i ride for everyone who can’t by Emelio DiSabato http://4000more.org/2009/09/19/sylvia-bingham-memorial-ride-i-ride-for-everyone-who-cant/#comment-9 Sat, 19 Sep 2009 18:06:47 +0000 http://4000more.org/?p=88#comment-9 Anyone can stay with me on Monday evening, the night before the ride, if you don’t want to get up extra early on Tuesday. I have some blankets, but bring a sleeping bag or something — we’ll camp out on the floor. I lived with Sylvia, so Tuesday morning we’d just leave straight from the house for the Ride.

Comment on The Pledge by Ben Shapiro http://4000more.org/the-pledge/#comment-2 Thu, 06 Aug 2009 01:41:40 +0000 http://4000more.org/?page_id=14#comment-2 I can’t wait. How can I make this happen? What a great program and it could really help the bike coop develop financial independence to serve more people.

Thanks for getting this started.
